Mount Type - Inside or Outside Mount Refers to the way in which the blind will be hung, either inside or outside the window opening. Inside mount blinds are mounted inside the window frame opening that is recessed from the wall. Outside mount blinds hang outside the window opening on a wood trim, wall or door. Inside mount is by far the most popular mount and provides a nice clean look and finish to your window.

For inside mounts: please make sure to follow the Measuring Instructions on our site; do not make any deductions in your measurements, as our factory will make all necessary deductions to allow for mounting brackets.

The child-safe cordless lift system lets you raise and lower the shades by simply pulling on the bottom rail.

Safety Guard
Safety Guard is a transparent shroud that covers the Continuous Cord Loop in compliance with the new Canadian regulations for improved child safety. When in the neutral position at the bottom of the chain, the Safety Guard leaves <22 cms of exposed chain at the top of the shade. To raise or lower the shade, simply operate the exposed chain at the bottom as you would with a regular Continuous Cord Loop.

Choose from the light filtering liner to let in natural light, or you can opt for a blackout liner to block out incoming light, or an energy-efficient thermal liner which helps keep your home cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

Operating these roller shades is easy too! You can upgrade to a cordless lift system – the safest choices for homes with kids or pets. An affordable remote control motorization option is also available for operation with the touch of a button - the ultimate in convenience and an ideal choice for hard-to-reach windows.

And finally you can polish off the look of your new roller shades with a colour-coordinated cassette which accents your shades by covering the exposed top rail.

Recommendations and Limitations

  • Cordless lift: Fabric width will be approximately 1-1/8" smaller than ordered width on inside mounted shades, and 7/8" smaller than ordered width on outside mounted shades. Deductions taken at factory.
  • Motorized lift with exposed roll: Fabric width will be approximately 1-1/2" smaller than ordered width on inside mounted shades and 1-1/8" smaller than ordered width on outside mounted shades. Deductions taken at factory.
  • Motorized lift with cassette: Fabric width will be approximately 1-7/8" smaller than ordered width on inside mounted shades, and 1-1/2" smaller than ordered width on outside mounted shades. Deductions taken at factory.
  • Inside Mount: 1/4" deduction off headrail with cassette or exposed roll for all lift styles. No deduction will be made for outside mount.
  • Factory will deduct approximately 5/8” off of the no-drill installation headrail, regardless of lift style.
  • Deductions may vary +/- 1/8.
  • Fabric colour can vary from one dye lot to another. To ensure that all materials are from the same dye lot, please order shades for the same room at the same time.
  • Cassette will have colour-coordinated fabric.
  • Cassette option only available with standard roll.
  • Cordless lift system includes a tassel to lift and lower your blinds.
  • The locking mechanism on the No-Drill Blinds Headrail will be located on the opposite end of the control side selected for Safety Guard. The locking mechanism will be located on the right side for Cordless and Motorized options. 
  • No-drill installation headrail max width: 71”. Max height: 60”.
  • IMPORTANT MEASURING TIP: If the no-drill installation headrail is chosen, measure the exact width of the top of your window frame and use those measurements as your width. Do NOT take the smallest of the three measurements, which may cause your headrail to not fit properly.

missing info on website RE: light gaps / cascette / no tools adds to the GAP on inside mount

The designer fabric roller shades - at the spot where choosing inside mount does not have the information about inside mount adding to the light gap! This is an error on the website. The casette and no tools option also adds to the GAP on inside window mount with roller blinds. This information is not on the website. So I had a larger gap than expected and more light coming through. They were very helpful with customer service.
