Instructions for Inside Mounted Traditional Arches

Depth Requirements

  • The first step is to confirm that your window is deep enough for an inside mount. The product’s minimum mounting surface requirements are under the “Product Info” tab on the product’s information page.

Measuring the width

Measure the width
  • Measure only the window opening
  • To determine the width, measure from left to right at the bottom of the arch.
  • Round down to the nearest 1/8” if you are receiving a measurement in 16ths or 32nds(For example, if the smallest measurement is 24 9/16," round down to 24 1/2". If it's 24 3/8", no need to round down.)
  • This is the width you will use when ordering.

Measuring the height

Measure the height
  • Measure only the window opening.
  • To determine the height, divide your width in half.
  • This is the height you will use when ordering.

Please do not make your own deductions. We'll take care of that for you. This ensures that your product will be the perfect fit. If you feel you need to add width for better light coverage, order an outside mount instead. Please review the following deductions/additions we will use when making your order:

  • Deductions: Inside mount rail reduced by 3/16" (on width), fabric reduced by 3/8".
  • Additions: Outside mount rail gets 3/16" added (to width), fabric remains the same.

Instructions for Inside Mounted Quarter Arches

Measuring the width & height

  • The width and the height must be the same measurement for your quarter arch
  • To determine the width, measure inside the window opening from left to right at the bottom of the quarter arch.
  • To determine the height, measure at the left or right side of your window (depending on whether it is a left or right facing quarter arch). This should be the tallest portion of your window.
  • Round down to the nearest 1/8” if you are receiving a measurement in 16ths or 32nds.
  • Use the smallest number of your width and height measurements, and use that number as both your width and height. (For example, if your width is 26 1/2”, and your height is 28 3/8”, use 26 ½” as both your width and height when ordering).

Instructions for Outside Mounted Traditional Arches

Since an outside mount covers the window opening and frame fully, there are additions you need to make to make sure the correct size is ordered. We will make your product to the measurements you give us, and we won’t make changes or additions.

Flat surface requirements

  • First decide where you want to mount the blind outside of the window frame. You need at least 1" of flat surface. You can mount it anywhere below the window opening, making sure to add to the height the lower you go. More specific information can be found under the "Product Info" tab on the product's information page.

Measuring the width

Measure the width
  • Measure only the window opening
  • To determine the width, measure from left to right at the bottom of the arch.
  • Make a minimum addition of 2" on each side or 4" total. For example, if the window opening is 32", it would be helpful to order 36". This will provide 2" of coverage on each side of the window for maximum privacy and light gap coverage.
  • You can order narrower or wider based on your application, but the above example is a typical addition.
  • This is the width you will use when ordering.
