Mount Type - Inside or Outside Mount Refers to the way in which the blind will be hung, either inside or outside the window opening. Inside mount blinds are mounted inside the window frame opening that is recessed from the wall. Outside mount blinds hang outside the window opening on a wood trim, wall or door. Inside mount is by far the most popular mount and provides a nice clean look and finish to your window.

For inside mounts: please make sure to follow the Measuring Instructions on our site; do not make any deductions in your measurements, as our factory will make all necessary deductions to allow for mounting brackets.

Chain Guard
Chain Guard is a transparent shroud that covers the Continuous Cord Loop in compliance with the new Canadian regulations for improved child safety. When in the neutral position at the bottom of the chain, the Chain Guard leaves <22 cms of exposed chain at the top of the shade. To raise or lower the shade, simply raise the Chain Guard shroud and operate the exposed chain at the bottom as you would with a regular Continuous Cord Loop.

Motorization
Motorization allows you to open and close your blinds from up to 75 feet away with the push of a button on a remote control. Please be sure to add one remote control per order, and select “No remote” when ordering up to an additional 5 motorized blinds for the same room (since one remote control will work on up to 6 blinds).

Control your blinds with your smartphone or voice-controlled Amazon or Google device by connecting them to the Neo Connect Smart WiFi controller. To use the WiFi controller, you must order this product with Motorization lift option. Controller range is approximately 150 feet. One (1) controller is recommended per every 2000 square feet. A remote control is required to program your blinds. Please be sure to add 1 remote per order.

2 blinds or shades mounted on the same headrail. Typically this is to cover a large window where the size is too large to allow a single shade. Each blind or shade on the headrail will have its own set of controls so one blind may be open while the other is closed. We recommend splitting very large blinds into two blinds on one headrail. If it is recommended that your blind be split you can still choose to have it manufactured as one single blind, however, it will void the manufacturer's warranty.

Description

Premium Light Filtering Sheer Shades are beautifully elegant, light and airy. These sheer shades combine the light and privacy control of a horizontal blind with the soft look of a fabric shade. Floating vanes are suspended between graceful sheer fabric and provide you with control over privacy and light. The vanes smoothly rotate like slats on a blind, permitting a wide range of light control. These shades are available in 21 designer colours.

Recommendations and Limitations

  • For all mounting types, the shade will measure the length ordered when the vanes are in the open or “view-through” position.
  • The vanes overlap each other when closed, blocking the view.
  • Fabric telescoping may occur on shades with a height-to-width ratio greater than 3:1 (height is more than 3 times the width). Telescoping blinds may cause your shades to roll unevenly or fray your fabric.
  • 2 blinds on 1 headrail is required over 84 inch width for Motorization.
  • 2 blinds on 1 headrail is required over 84 inch for Wand Lift.
  • Please note; there is minimal contact amongst the vanes along the full length of the shading and thus there is not a full seal against light leakage (most visible toward the bottom of the shading).
  • Inside mount: Fabric will measure ordered width less 1 3/8". Cassette will measure 1/4" less than ordered width. Do not attempt to account for fabric deductions by changing measurements on inside mount shades.
  • Outside mount:  Fabric will measure ordered width less 1 1/8". Cassette will measure ordered width. Do not attempt to account for fabric deductions by changing measurements on outside mount shades. 
  • Minimum depth for side mount: 1 1/2".
  • Maximum shade width for side mount: 48".
  • Side mount: Fabric will measure ordered width less 1 1/8". Cassette will measure ordered width less 1/4". Total height will measure ordered height less 1/4".  Do not attempt to account for fabric deductions by changing measurements on side mount shades.
  • Light Gap: Clutch: 5/8" Idle End: 1/2”.
  • The locking mechanism on the No-Drill Blinds Headrail will be located on the right side.  
  • No-drill installation headrail max width: 72”. Max height: 60”. 
  • IMPORTANT MEASURING TIP: If the no-drill installation headrail is chosen, measure the exact width of the top of your window frame and use those measurements as your width. Do NOT take the smallest of the three measurements, which may cause your headrail to not fit properly.
