Mount Type - Inside or Outside Mount Refers to the way in which the blind will be hung, either inside or outside the window opening. Inside mount blinds are mounted inside the window frame opening that is recessed from the wall. Outside mount blinds hang outside the window opening on a wood trim, wall or door. Inside mount is by far the most popular mount and provides a nice clean look and finish to your window.

For inside mounts: please make sure to follow the Measuring Instructions on our site; do not make any deductions in your measurements, as our factory will make all necessary deductions to allow for mounting brackets.

Recommendations and Limitations

  • Height is available in 48” and 72” only. 
  • Inside mount: 1/8” will be deducted from width measurement to ensure fit. Do not attempt to account for deductions by changing measurements on inside mount shades. 
  • No deductions to headrail or fabric on outside mount. 
  • Light gaps and deductions may vary +/- 1/8.  
  • Fabric colour can vary from one dye lot to another. To ensure that all materials are from the same dye lot, please order shades for the same room at the same time. 
  • Headrail and bottom rail end caps are made of PVC. 
  • Bottom rail dimension is ½”H x 1 5/8”D.

I bought several blinds at once, six in total. I could finally replace the sheets I was using on the windows until I could afford proper coverage. I carefully measured and everything fit great. Only issues was when the packages were delivery. While in transit, the top of one package was compromised with a chunk ripped out. It turned out the end cap on that blind was also knocked off otherwise the blind was OK. I emailed a picture of the package as it came and the damage and asked if they might send me the end caps so I could fix it. They sent a replacement blind instead which was very kind of them. In. I have a few more blinds to purchase for the place as I can afford them and will absolutely be buying more from them.

The items we're exactly what I purchased, perfectly sized, perfectly packaged and super easy to install. They filter the light just right in the evening when the sun is setting and blaring into our eyes in the kitchen. They're easy to pull down and up without the included finger tabs. Those actually make handling the blinds more complicated rather than easy.
