Mount Type - Inside or Outside Mount Refers to the way in which the blind will be hung, either inside or outside the window opening. Inside mount blinds are mounted inside the window frame opening that is recessed from the wall. Outside mount blinds hang outside the window opening on a wood trim, wall or door. Inside mount is by far the most popular mount and provides a nice clean look and finish to your window.

For inside mounts: please make sure to follow the Measuring Instructions on our site; do not make any deductions in your measurements, as our factory will make all necessary deductions to allow for mounting brackets.

Motorization allows you to open and close your blinds from up to 80 feet away with the push of a button on a remote control. Please be sure to add one remote control per order, and select “No Remote” when ordering up to an additional 14 motorized blinds for the same room (since one remote control will work on up to 15 blinds).

Two Fabric Cordless Top-Down Bottom-Up
The Sheer Light Filtering fabric (top) and either Light Filtering or Blackout fabric (bottom) operate independently, similar to top-down bottom-up. Simply lower the middle bar separating the two fabrics to get more natural light coming in from the top, while still maintaining privacy at the bottom. Push the middle bar all the way up for greater light blockage. Or raise the entire shade when you prefer a full view to the outside.

No-drill installation headrail
Install your window shades in minutes – no tools, no holes! All you have to do is place the no-drill headrail at the top of your window, push on the tension bar to lock it into place, and attach your shade.
IMPORTANT MEASURING TIP: If the no-drill installation headrail is chosen, measure the exact width of the top of your window frame and use those measurements as your width. Do NOT take the smallest of the three measurements, which may cause your headrail to not fit properly.

The new 1/2" Double Cell Value Plus Light Filter Honeycomb Shades are available in premium, spun lace double cell fabrics in over 30 gorgeous colours and come standard with colour-coordinated rails and components for a consistent look top to bottom. Fully customize your shade with one of these many options: Cordless Lift & Lock™ or Motorization. Our options offer extra-wide widths to accommodate more window sizes. If safety is a concern, provide a safe home environment for your children or pets by choosing the cordless or motorized option. Since there are no lift cords, these options are a safe and aesthetically-pleasing choice.

Recommendations and Limitations

  • Standard inside mount brackets are top mounted. Side mounting brackets available upon request for shades less than 48" wide only.
  • Headrails and bottom rails will vary based on lift style. It is recommended to order the same lift system for shades in the same room. Cordless Lift & Lock comes with fabric-wrapped rails.
  • Inside mount: Additional 1/4" (+/- 1/8") headrail deduction taken at factory on cordless shades.
  • Adding Hold Down Brackets to inside mounted shades will increase headrail deduction to 1/2". This is done to make room for brackets.
  • Products 12" wide and under have a max height of 80".
  • Striker plates on shades over 42” wide are approximately 4" from the edges.
  • No-drill Headrail is only available in the colour white.
  • No-drill headrail option is only available for inside mount.
  • No-drill headrail max width: 84”. Max height: 84”. 2 1/8" of depth to install required.  
  • The locking mechanism on the no-drill installation headrail will be located on the right side.
  • IMPORTANT MEASURING TIP: If the no-drill installation headrail is chosen, measure the exact width of the top of your window frame and use those measurements as your width. Do NOT take the smallest of the three measurements, which may cause your headrail to not fit properly.

Difficult lift and lock tab

The blinds themselves are great, fit perfectly, colour as ordered. But I find the lift and lock tab very awkward to use. The button is hard to press and the design makes it hard to grip. It takes me two hands to raise and lower the blind and when lowering the blind curls in a way that I suspect might eventually wear it.
