Mount Type - Inside or Outside Mount Refers to the way in which the blind will be hung, either inside or outside the window opening. Inside mount blinds are mounted inside the window frame opening that is recessed from the wall. Outside mount blinds hang outside the window opening on a wood trim, wall or door. Inside mount is by far the most popular mount and provides a nice clean look and finish to your window.

For inside mounts: please make sure to follow the Measuring Instructions on our site; do not make any deductions in your measurements, as our factory will make all necessary deductions to allow for mounting brackets.

Recommendations and Limitations

A repeat purchase -- well worth it !

Initially we purchased 2 woven wood shades and were impressed with the speed of shipment and quality of the blinds. We then decided to to purchase an additional 2 knowing then what to expect. Installation was very easy and the fit was perfect (given I used my own measurement but followed the guidance on how to measure). The slight change we made on the 2nd set of blinds was adding the edging trim. The color on the website (slate) was slightly different (i. e darker) than what was received on the actual product so I would caution anyone adding that extra to carefully consider the variance that could occur between the small picture on the web site to the physical product when applied to the shades.

We ordered both 2 1/2” faux woods and some woven woods on some other windows. We love both selections. The fit was perfect, ordering online was so easy. Delivery was a little later than expected but we are renovating so weren’t exactly waiting for them. My husband installs blinds from other companies and notes that the construction and installation was equal or even better than some higher priced blinds. We would not hesitate to order again and to recommend to others.

I researched the blinds online and at stores, and had a representative come to my house and give me an estimate. We decided to go with Select Blinds, and are thrilled with our purchase! They are gorgeous and very solid and of quality material! We were worried the quality would have been lower than the local stores with reps to sell their products, but we were NOT disappointed at all! So happy with the money we saved!
