Mount Type - Inside or Outside Mount Refers to the way in which the blind will be hung, either inside or outside the window opening. Inside mount blinds are mounted inside the window frame opening that is recessed from the wall. Outside mount blinds hang outside the window opening on a wood trim, wall or door. Inside mount is by far the most popular mount and provides a nice clean look and finish to your window.

For inside mounts: please make sure to follow the Measuring Instructions on our site; do not make any deductions in your measurements, as our factory will make all necessary deductions to allow for mounting brackets.

Safety Shield
Safety Shield is a colour-coordinated shroud that covers the Continuous Cord Loop in compliance with the new Canadian regulations for improved child safety. When in the neutral position at the bottom of the chain, the Safety Shield leaves <22 cms of exposed chain at the top of the shade. To raise or lower the shade, simply raise the Safety Shield shroud and operate the exposed chain at the bottom as you would with a regular Continuous Cord Loop.

Shade is "cordless" and is raised and lowered by pulling on the shade itself.

Motorization
Motorization allows you to open and close your blinds from up to 35 feet away with the push of a button on a remote control. Please be sure to add one remote control per order, and select “No remote” when ordering up to an additional 14 motorized blinds for the same room (since one remote control will work on up to 15 blinds).

Control your blinds with your smartphone or voice-controlled Amazon or Google device by connecting them to the Neo Connect Smart WiFi Controller. To use the Smart Blinds Hub, you must order this product with Motorization lift option. Controller range is approximately 150 feet. One (1) controller is recommended per every 2000 square feet. A remote control is required to program your blinds. Please be sure to add 1 remote per order.

2 blinds or shades mounted on the same headrail. Typically this is to cover a large window where the size is too large to allow a single shade. Each blind or shade on the headrail will have its own set of controls so one blind may be open while the other is closed. We recommend splitting very large blinds into two blinds on one headrail. If it is recommended that your blind be split you can still choose to have it manufactured as one single blind, however, it will void the manufacturer's warranty.

NOTE: Reverse Roll is not available if Cassette Valance is chosen.

Square Fascia
The square fascia is constructed from high-grade aluminum in a matte finish with matching bracket covers. Available in White, Linen, Anodized or Black.

The 3” fascia looks best with windows under 60” in width, but can be used for windows up to 90” in width. We recommend the 4” fascia for blinds over 60” in width to better complement your larger windows. For windows next to each other in the same room, we suggest ordering the same size fascia for a consistent look.

The square fascia with fabric wrap has the same fabric as the shade wrapped around the front of the fascia. The end caps are available in White, Linen, Anodized, or Black.

Recommendations and Limitations

  • Inside mount: 1/8” (+/- 1/8”) total deduction on width taken at factory to ensure a proper fit. Do not attempt to account for deductions by changing measurements on inside mount shades.
  • Fabric colour can vary from one dye lot to another. To ensure that all materials are from the same dye lot, please order shades for the same room at the same time.
  • 1 1/8” to 1 5/8” total fabric deduction on width taken at factory. Some lift systems require more room on the roller to operate, resulting in a slightly larger light gap on one side. We ordered a second set after receiving and installing the dirst one. A bit expensive for blinds but good quality, easy to order and install. The installation clips may need a squeeze to tighten them up but work well. Width is exactly as ordered so do not err on the plus side.

Do not believe the perfect guarantee promise

Selectblinds was really quick at providing samples, selecting blinds and helping you get to the point of purchase. However, the after purchase service is horrible. Selectblinds sent me blinds that did not fit my windows. All 11 blinds did not fit. They forgot to take off a bit off the measurements for inside mount and for butt blinds. I informed them of the error on June 29th, after about a week of back and forth they decided that the best way to remedy the situation was to send me thinner caps and to replace the butt blinds with shorter ones. It is now July 16th and I still don’t have the caps or the shorter blinds. I have been staying in my condo for two wks without blinds. It was obvious that this was their error and that it should be fixed immediately. Its likely I won’t get them fitted until 3 wks after the fact and who knows at that point if it will even fit and how long it would actually take for me to get blinds in my place. Also half the original caps fell off the blinds and one blind was broken. I should have just gone with Home Depot or Costco. Two places known for their after purchase care. One bright note was their customer service rep Die did her best to help me and was always responsive.

We Liked the blinds but I am sure I ordered blinds that didn't require chains but when they arrived they had chains, not what I wanted.
