Mount Type - Inside or Outside Mount Refers to the way in which the blind will be hung, either inside or outside the window opening. Inside mount blinds are mounted inside the window frame opening that is recessed from the wall. Outside mount blinds hang outside the window opening on a wood trim, wall or door. Inside mount is by far the most popular mount and provides a nice clean look and finish to your window.

For inside mounts: please make sure to follow the Measuring Instructions on our site; do not make any deductions in your measurements, as our factory will make all necessary deductions to allow for mounting brackets.

Chain Guard
Chain Guard is a transparent shroud that covers the Continuous Cord Loop in compliance with the new Canadian regulations for improved child safety. When in the neutral position at the bottom of the chain, the Chain Guard leaves <22 cms of exposed chain at the top of the shade. To raise or lower the shade, simply raise the Chain Guard shroud and operate the exposed chain at the bottom as you would with a regular Continuous Cord Loop.

The 3% SheerWeave Value Outdoor Solar Roller is custom made with a sun control fabric that blocks 97% of all harmful UV rays. These shades are designed to diffuse light, reduce glare and to help control solar heat gain; making your room more comfortable while providing a view to the outside. All components are made out of rust proof materials, and are great for patios.

  • Comes with Velcro Hold downs to stop it from flapping in the wind.

Recommendations and Limitations

  • Polyester / PVC combination.
  • Sun control product. Not a privacy shade
  • Products come with 6 to 10 inches of extra fabric to conceal the roller.
  • Fabric Deduction on inside/outside mount and cordless spring lift: 5/8 inch on each side.
  • Colour coordinated continuous cord loop.
  • Factory deductions: Outside mount will have no deductions on the headrail but fabric will be 1 1/8 inch narrower than ordered. Inside Mount will have 1/4 inch deduction off the headrail and the fabric will be 1 1/8 inch narrower.
  • Cassette options: Min 15 1/2", Max 115" wide. Min 24", Max 96" height.
  • Shades will be manufactured with upgraded 1 3/8 inch metal roller for all orders over 72 inches.
  • Cassette cannot be side mounted.
  • Shades over 96" wide will have a maximum height of 84".
  • Chain guard shroud is transparent

Great blinds

I bought a roller shade for my outdoor deck and I love it. This is my second purchase (bought another roller shade few years ago and loved it too). The quality of the shades are very good and are very easy to install. My first exterior roller shade that I bought 6 years ago is still in excellent condition. Ordering with SelecBlinds was easy and fast. The only reason I didn’t put 5 stars is because I wish the roller chain cord would be longer, it is a bit short and makes it a bit difficult to pull the blind up and down.

A bit flimsy as a little wind will have them flying and automatically go to the top position and you need to bring them down again.Overral good product if not too pricy for the material.
