Total Blackout Honeycomb Shades (No Drill)

Overall with the finished product, I'm happy with it - However there are a few things that absolutely could be done better. The Instructions are too minimalistic and frankly I ended up using them as very rough guidelines while spending the vast majority of the time through trial and error figuring it out myself. Following the instructions clearly was failing to be the best way to install the product. These plastic cover things designed to sit on the ends and protect against scratching, somehow I got two of the exact same ends so they fit on great on one end, however that doesn't work when you need to be able to flip the upright in the other direction and now it no longer properly fits on the end (I made it work, you can't tell anything is off just looking at it now). A small yet important part had clearly either broke or was never properly attached originally in the spring mechanism proved to be an insanely difficult component of the install as I had to dig out the one side and slot it into its correct spot, after that while holding this unit with one arm I somehow would need to keep it slotted correctly so that when pushing on the lever to actually utilize the spring and hold itself in place. This spring system was insanely difficult to push into place so it would support itself. Maybe this was a component of the broken mechanism, maybe this was a result of just the design itself - either way I still have a blister in the shape of that device on my thumb 4 days later from pressing so hard consistently before it finally worked. There was also this one piece on the other end of the spring mechanism designed to help center and hold the blinds in place that once pulled out even a little, it's impossible to push back into the frame. There are these tabs you need to turn back in to hold the metal bracket so the part can be slotted back in, however getting those to be turned back out once they are back in the frame is impossible without a basic yet unique tool to pull them back out with. This seems like an oversight to me and the fact this part isn't even remotely mentioned in the instructions was very frustrating while figuring it out blindly. One last minor annoyance that came up as well is the bottom channel, doesn't have any kind of clear instructions which way it should be facing out - again this is minor and maybe obvious to some but I put mine in backwards, thankfully I anticipate this will be the easiest thing to remedy but again I feel like the instructions could have been clearer for this. Overall I'm happy with the finished product, but I have my greviences with the instructions because this should have been a very simple install in all senses of the word. However with my experience, I had far more success installing this by completely ignoring what it was telling me what to do and figuring out the mechanisms themselves on my own.

The blinds themselves are good. Provide very good blackout performance. Seems to be a bit of blackout missing on the top right and left where the sides meet the top, but I'd still say they're above 95% blacked out. The instruction booklet could improve vs some other companies which provide very thorough install instructions. There's some parts that came with it that weren't even mentioned in the part list. I actually had to remove the blinds and reinstall them after making it to the end of the instructions once it became clear that I had missed something that wasn't adequately described. I'm a handy person.

Cannot be more satisfied. Easy to install, fits perfectly. Do need to use the foam around the frame to get perfect darkness. They look great from outside of home.

I am really pleased with my three different blinds. Ordering was easy and delivery was quick.

These blinds are great. Easy to put together and install without any tools and they completely block out all light.

I would recommend these blinds and this company. I have purchased 3 blinds from them and am happy every time. I had problems with one and they just gave me a replacement for it. I just sent them picture of what was the issue and all was settled no fuss at all. :)
