Mount Type - Inside or Outside Mount Refers to the way in which the blind will be hung, either inside or outside the window opening. Inside mount blinds are mounted inside the window frame opening that is recessed from the wall. Outside mount blinds hang outside the window opening on a wood trim, wall or door. Inside mount is by far the most popular mount and provides a nice clean look and finish to your window.

For inside mounts: please make sure to follow the Measuring Instructions on our site; do not make any deductions in your measurements, as our factory will make all necessary deductions to allow for mounting brackets.

Install your window shades in minutes – no tools, no holes! All you have to do is place the no-drill headrail at the top of your window, push on the tension bar to lock it into place, and attach your shade.
IMPORTANT MEASURING TIP: If the no-drill installation headrail is chosen, measure the exact width of the top of your window frame and use those measurements as your width. Do NOT take the smallest of the three measurements, which may cause your headrail to not fit properly.

Recommendations and Limitations

  • Inside mount: 3/8" headrail deduction and 1/8" fabric deduction taken at the factory.  No deductions to headrail or fabric on outside mount.
  • Not a 100% light-blocking product. Note there will be slight gaps on sides due to fabric deductions when inside mount selected. For more light blockage, consider ordering as outside mount.
  • Hold down brackets and extension brackets are not available for this product. 
  • Clear plastic handles are included
  • The no-drill installation headrail comes with a matching fabric-insert and is only available for inside mount.
  • No-drill installation headrail max width: 78”. Max height: 78”. Requires 2 1/2" of depth to install.
  • The locking mechanism on the no-drill installation headrail will be located on the right side.

The first blinds (blackout) arrived, but confirmation they were broken was when the rest of the order arrived, waiting for feedback from select blinds. the handle had to be held out with a finger, the next blinds worked as they should.

If you’re like me, you don’t want to buy junk that isn’t going to last. I had my concerns because of select blinds being one of the more cheaper options and that maybe the quality wasn’t going to be there. But wow was I wrong!! I am absolutely floored with the build quality of my honeycomb shades. I only ordered for my bedroom because of my concerns, but now will be doing my whole house with select blinds in time. Seriously - if you’re on the fence, just trust me you won’t be disappointed!
