Mount Type - Inside or Outside Mount Refers to the way in which the blind will be hung, either inside or outside the window opening. Inside mount blinds are mounted inside the window frame opening that is recessed from the wall. Outside mount blinds hang outside the window opening on a wood trim, wall or door. Inside mount is by far the most popular mount and provides a nice clean look and finish to your window.

For inside mounts: please make sure to follow the Measuring Instructions on our site; do not make any deductions in your measurements, as our factory will make all necessary deductions to allow for mounting brackets.

These Express Day/Night Honeycomb Shades are ready to ship the next business day!   

Transform your space with the versatility of day/night honeycomb shades, designed to give you ultimate control over light and privacy. These shades feature two shades in one – a light-filtering fabric for soft, natural light during the day, and a blackout fabric for increased privacy and darkness.  

Simply lower the middle bar separating the two fabrics to get more natural light coming in from the top light filtering fabric. Push the middle bar to the top to have the blackout fabric cover your entire window for maximum light blockage. Or raise the entire shade when you prefer a full view to the outside. 

Made with energy-efficient honeycomb construction, these shades help regulate indoor temperatures, keeping your home cool in summer and warm in winter, while lowering energy costs.

Recommendations and Limitations

  • Height is available in 48” and 72” only. 
  • Inside mount: 1/8” will be deducted from width measurement to ensure fit. No deductions to headrail or fabric on outside mount. 
  • Light gaps and deductions may vary +/- 1/8.  
  • Fabric colour can vary from one dye lot to another. To ensure that all materials are from the same dye lot, please order shades for the same room at the same time. 
  • Headrail and bottom rail end caps are made of PVC. 
  • Bottom rail dimension is ½”H x 1 5/8”D.

We've had a number of cellular day/night blinds installed in our home for several years but this was our first time buying from Select Blinds. We really could not have been happier with our experience. The online ordering process was straightforward and the website offered plenty of relevant details to guide our choices. Our request for further information on sizing received a rapid reply and the factory staff did a perfect job of cutting our blinds to the correct length. The shipment arrived right on schedule. Select Blinds staff even took care to follow up when they did not receive devilry confirmation from the carrier so as to make sure that we had received our order. The provided installation instructions were very clear and detailed and the hardware is quite easy to mount. One thing to note for potential buyers: the light filtering portion of Express Day/Night Cellular Blinds is opaque, offering no visibility in or out. This differs from other examples of the same design of blind which have sheer material that offers visibility (out during daylight, in during darkness). It might be a good idea to talk with Select Blinds staff to confirm what they have available to suit your preference. The blackout portion of the blinds does exactly what it promises. The bottom line: we will certainly be returning to Select Blinds for future window covering purchases.
