Mount Type - Inside or Outside Mount Refers to the way in which the blind will be hung, either inside or outside the window opening. Inside mount blinds are mounted inside the window frame opening that is recessed from the wall. Outside mount blinds hang outside the window opening on a wood trim, wall or door. Inside mount is by far the most popular mount and provides a nice clean look and finish to your window.

For inside mounts: please make sure to follow the Measuring Instructions on our site; do not make any deductions in your measurements, as our factory will make all necessary deductions to allow for mounting brackets.

Description 

The Designer Single Cell Day Night Honeycomb Shades offer you the ultimate in light control and privacy. You can enjoy the soft glow of sunshine emanating into the room with the light filtering fabric during the day, and switch to the blackout fabric when you’re ready to call it a night. It’s easy to switch back and forth (or anywhere in between) to suit your needs any time of the day.

These shades are fully customizable. You choose the fabric colour for the top light filtering shade and the bottom blackout shade separately (we recommend choosing the same colour for both the top and bottom for seamless colour coordination). Simply lower the middle bar separating the two fabrics to get more natural light coming in from the top light filtering fabric. Push the middle bar to the top to have the blackout fabric cover your entire window for maximum light blockage. Or raise the entire shade up when you prefer a full view to the outside.

Available in a range of designer colours, you can easily achieve an understated look with a warm neutral tome or aim for a little more pizzazz with a rich hue like berry or navy.  Plus, these energy efficient shades keep your home warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer, saving you on your energy bills.

These shades are ideal for bedrooms, nurseries and media rooms, as they provide you with full light and privacy control – all in one shade!

Recommendations and Limitations

  • Inside mount: 3/8" total deduction on width taken at factory. Do not attempt to account for fabric deductions by changing measurements on inside mount shades.
  • Fabrics are white on the street side for a consistent look from the outside.
  • Side mount brackets can only be ordered when inside mount is selected. Maximum width for side mount is 60".
  • Headrail will coordinate with top fabric. Bottom rail coordinates with bottom fabric. Middle rail will match headrail.

We received the order as described. We were looking for bedroom shades ie day/night but did not realize how thick the 'sheer' layer would be. We also miss the manual cord for bringing the blind up and down, similar to our previous orders. This seems a bit flimsy but we appreciate the safety concerns.

Day Night Blinds

The measuring,ordering,and install process of the blinds is smooth and clear. We really like our blinds, but because of the size of the windows (and this blinds) it is a bit hard to raise and lower the blinds now that they have removed the pull cords (b/C of safety standards). As a result, we find that the bar will sometimes sag a bit and leave a bit more light shining through than anticipated.

I’m pretty happy with the overall experience. Products were easy to install, well priced and look good. Now the downside was the shipping experience. Products came in multiple shipments at various times. The last blind being attributed to a lack of materials to manufacture. I felt like this information should have already been know and information provided at time of ordering. With that said, some things are out of people’s control. What did disappoint me more was that I get the first email saying your orders been shipped and only two blinds showed up. There was no indication that the order was being broken up into multiple shipments. In total my order came in three different shipments, with the third shipments containing the one last blind that they didn’t have sufficient material for. I wasn’t provided any indication that the order was delayed or that the total order was going to be in multiple shipments, until the second order shipment email saying it’s been shipped except one item.
