Due to new Canadian regulations for enhanced child safety, any window coverings with reachable cords longer than 22 cms (or a 44 cm loop) when pulled with a certain force will no longer be allowed to be sold in Canada. These new regulations apply to all window coverings from all manufacturers and retailers, regardless of whether the window coverings are manufactured in Canada or imported into Canada from any other country. These blinds are therefore tilt only (the blinds will always be in the lowered position and cannot be raised), as there are inner cords required for the raising and lowering of the blinds that are longer than the new requirements.
