Window screens with no hardware are a simple solution that easily slide into your window frame. This option is only suitable for windows designed to securely hold screens on their own, a setup most commonly found in wooden-framed windows.

Compression springs provide tension to hold the frame firmly. Each frame comes standard with 2 compression springs on the selected side.

Measure from the nearest outer edge of the screen frame to the point where the spring begins (the nearest installation point of the spring). This single measurement will be applied to both springs, ensuring consistent placement along the screen frame (for example, the same distance from the top and bottom corners when springs are placed on a vertical side, or from the left and right corners when placed on a horizontal side).

Spring bolts hold your screen securely in place by inserting into your existing window frame channels, grooves, or pre-drilled holes, providing a firm and reliable fit while allowing easy removal when needed. Lance latches are defaulted on the left and right side of the screen. There are 2 on each side of the screen for a total of 4 hardware components.

Recommendations and Limitations

  • If your screen has a lip, the frame dimensions are 3/8” x 1” (front facing). If your screen has no lip, the frame dimension is ¾” (front facing) regardless of the depth size.
  • 5/16” x 3/4" frame is only available with compression springs or no hardware.
  • Spring bolts and Lance latches hardware options are defaulted to the left and right side of the screen. There are 2 on each side of the screen for a total of 4 hardware components.  
  • A crossbar option will always be centred to your screen. If you require a different crossbar location, please reach out to our customer service team for further customization.
  • Crossbar is the same colour as the frame colour.
  • Pull handles are black. 
  • Pull handles will be centered to the screen when 1 pull handle is selected. Exact location needs to be specified when 2 pull handles are selected.
