Do you offer custom-size window screens?
Yes. We offer custom-made window screens to fit most windows. Custom sizing ensures a perfect fit and maximum protection against bugs.
How do I measure for replacement screens?
Measuring for your replacement window screen is quick and easy! Simply measure the width and height of your existing screen frame and customize further by comparing the type of hardware your current screen uses. How do I know if my window screen needs replacing?
You may need a new screen if the mesh is torn, faded, sagging, or pulling away from the frame. Screens that block airflow, collect dirt easily, or look worn can also be upgraded for better visibility and performance.
What kind of windows do the screens fit?
Our window screens are designed to fit most common window styles, including:
- Casement windows (crank-out style)
- Awning windows (hinged at the top)
- Sliding windows (horizontal or vertical sliders)
- Single-hung and double-hung windows
What if I don’t have an existing screen to replace?
If you don’t currently have a screen, don’t worry - we’re in the process of expanding our product assortment to include complete custom screens for windows without existing screens. This will make it easier to build and order a brand-new screen from scratch. Until then, our customer service team can help you find the right solution and walk you through the measuring and hardware selection process to ensure a perfect fit.
What types of screen mesh do you offer?
We carry several mesh options to suit different needs:
- Standard Fiberglass Mesh: reliable everyday protection from common insects.
- BetterVue Mesh: provides improved airflow and clearer outward visibility.
- Blackout Roman Shades: finer weave that blocks smaller bugs like gnats or no-see-ums.
Each window type may use slightly different screen hardware such as springs, spring bolts, lance latches or pull tabs. Be sure to compare your current setup when ordering. If you’re not sure which type you have, our team can help identify it.
Can I install replacement screens myself?
Yes. Replacement window screens are DIY-friendly and can be installed with either basic tools, or with no tools all depending on the window style.
Are your window screens water-resistant?
Our BetterVue® mesh has Water Shed Technology™ which repels water, dirt and dust from collecting on the screen.
