Mount Type - Inside or Outside Mount Refers to the way in which the blind will be hung, either inside or outside the window opening. Inside mount blinds are mounted inside the window frame opening that is recessed from the wall. Outside mount blinds hang outside the window opening on a wood trim, wall or door. Inside mount is by far the most popular mount and provides a nice clean look and finish to your window.

For inside mounts: please make sure to follow the Measuring Instructions on our site; do not make any deductions in your measurements, as our factory will make all necessary deductions to allow for mounting brackets.

PLEASE NOTE Inside mounted blackout shades might have small light gaps come in from the edges of the shade. Please order outside mounted blackout shades if you prefer a higher degree of blackout.

Cordless - Shade is "cordless" and is raised and lowered by pulling on the shade itself.

Please disregard Lift Chain Location as it does not apply to the cordless option (since there are no chains).

Chain - Shade is raised and lowered by use of a cord mounted to specified side of the shade. Chain will have a slight gap on the side of the cord lift.

Standard RollpositionStandard - Roller is visible from the front of the shade. Shade comes down behind the roller. Recommended for outside mount so the shades are flush with the wall.

Reverse RollpositionReverse - Roller is hidden behind the shade. Shade comes down in front of the roller. Recommended for inside mount so the shades are flush with the outside of the window sill.
NOTE: Reverse Roll is not available if Deluxe Cassette Valance is chosen.

We have updated the classic simplicity of these quality shades with fashion fabrics, streamlined upgraded roller mechanisms, and custom accents. Manufactured from Vinyl Fibreglass laminated with pure vinyl, SelectBlindsCanada roller shades have something for everyone. As an added feature these shades come standard with an upgraded chain lift system.

Almost perfect by



Everything was good until the installer advised me to try pulling the shades down and releasing them. The roller shades completely unravelled on the first pull. Good thing the installer was there. Despite adjusting the tension inside the top bar, it refused to work smoothly. Customer service was good, a replacement spring is on its way.
