Mount Type - Inside or Outside Mount Refers to the way in which the blind will be hung, either inside or outside the window opening. Inside mount blinds are mounted inside the window frame opening that is recessed from the wall. Outside mount blinds hang outside the window opening on a wood trim, wall or door. Inside mount is by far the most popular mount and provides a nice clean look and finish to your window.

For inside mounts: please make sure to follow the Measuring Instructions on our site; do not make any deductions in your measurements, as our factory will make all necessary deductions to allow for mounting brackets.

2 blinds or shades mounted on the same headrail. Typically this is to cover a large window where the size is too large to allow a single shade. Each blind or shade on the headrail will have its own set of controls so one blind may be open while the other is closed. We recommend splitting very large blinds into 2-on-1 headrail. If it is recommended that your blind be split you can still choose to have it manufactured as one single blind, however, it will void the manufacturer's warranty.

Description

Our popular 2” Designer Wood Blinds have been newly redesigned as tilt only – providing the same high-quality craftsmanship without any cords. Featuring a tilt wand system, these blinds allow you to control light and privacy by opening and closing the faux wood slats. Based on new regulations regarding reachable cords in Canada (including the inner cords of faux wood blinds), these blinds remain in the lowered position at all times (you can read more about the new regulations here).

With a wide selection of stains and colours, the real wood finish offers a luxurious look and feel, adding a sophisticated style to any room in your home.

Recommendations and Limitations 

  • Headrail and slats are made 1/2" smaller than width ordered for inside mounts. Please do not adjust your measurements – the factory will make this deduction automatically.
  • Inside mount valances will have 1/8" taken off the ordered width (deductions taken at factory).
  • Deductions may vary +/- 1/8".
  • Blinds ordered less than 12" in width will have a center tilt mechanism.
  • For windows with narrow depth, inside mount returns can be requested by contacting our Customer Care Team for assistance.
  • Bottom rail is 2” and rectangular in shape.

We are certainly happy to provide an extra discount should you wish to reorder different blinds that work better for you - we do have a full line of wood blinds that do raise and lower. Since all blinds are made to measure, we cannot accept returns when the customer orders the wrong blinds in error.

Blinds Resting on String

I bit deceiving on the pictures as well as not describing what you would get. All pictures show blinds with small holes through them so that the actual blinds are attached to the strings. NOPE. My blinds came and they just rest on the string with little notches on the edges of the blinds so they just 'sit' on the string. You can just grab any blind and just pull them out. Very cheap. Be aware of this when you purchase. I may not have purchased these, knowing that. I ordered 2 blinds that are on either side of the front door. The wand to turn them are different lengths even though the blinds are exactly the same.

After installation of product we noticed that the supporting string on the left hand side was hanging by a thread. One of the lattes was missing 2 indentations to support the latte. I know these things can happen but it was still disappointing. We have not open or close the blind for fear the lattes will all let go.
